About Sinead:

Sinead is a partner in the Commercial Department of FitzGerald Legal & Advisory LLP, Cork with more than 14 years’ experience in Commercial and Insolvency matters.

Sinead specialises in advising Receivers and Ireland’s leading financial institutions on all areas of debt recovery and insolvency including their rights and obligations under various charge and loan documentation. Sinead has significant experience in dealing with complex conveyancing transactions, undertaking security reviews and advising both Receivers and Banks in relation to the sale of repossessed properties.

Sinead has been successful in obtaining judgment for her clients and once judgment is obtained Sinead offers advice to her clients on the various options open to them to enforce that judgment. Sinead also provides advice to her clients concerning the possibility of bankruptcy proceedings against a judgment debtor. Sinead is acutely aware of the challenges involved in debt recovery and is always cognisant of devising effective strategies for the maximum recovery of funds for her creditor clients.

Sinead has a keen interest in Employment Law and has completed a diploma programme in Employment Law with the Law Society of Ireland. She has represented clients involved in employment disputes before the Employment Tribunals and the Irish courts. Sinead offers important advice to employers concerning their obligations under current employment legislation and provides clear and understandable advice to employees surrounding their rights under current employment legislation.

On the 1st March 2013 Sinead became the Sheriff for Cork County and undertakes this role in conjunction with her role as Partner within FitzGerald Legal & Advisory LLP.
