Are you a first time buyer?
For First Time Buyers, entering into the property market can be a daunting experience. We are here to ensure that the purchase of your first home is as pain-free as possible.
There are certain advantages to being a first time buyer:
- When applying for your mortgage, many lending institutions offer reduced interest rates to first time buyers. We will provide you with a referral service to Banks and Buildings Societies if required.
- Since 31 March 2007, First Time Buyers pay no stamp duty at all on the purchase of new or second-hand homes.
Most First Time Buyers are operating on a tight budget. At the earliest stage possible, you should contact us to get full advice on fees and other outlay to enable you budget properly. Typical outlay includes search fees and land registry or registry of deeds fees. It is also important to note that parties who have gone through a Judicial Separation or Divorce may now come within the definition of a first time buyer and avail of all the benefits outlined above.
